    A criminologist once said that this crap happens because the abuser does not believe you are credible threat. Ie. if everybody knows Arelor is a dangerous sociopath who will hang you with your own entrails if you dare looking at his horse in a funny way, then Arelor is very unlikely to need to ever prove his point.

    Dumas is very unlikely to ever look at Arelor's horse now. :D

    In summer, some kids from the next village tend to visit the horse yard daily to pet the horses, and I have not killed the children yet. You'd think it makes me happy when somebody makes the horses happy :-)

    Yeah, I would reckon it does, especially if the horses recognize them and
    enjoy the visits.
