    I do remember the sysop programs. I had to settle for whatever my job
    phased out/tossed out - when they went 14.4, I got a 9600 baud modem.
    When they went 28.8, I went 14.4.

    I was also a member of the USR sysop program back when it first began. All three of the HSTs I got were free (but I had to send back the old one in order
    to get the new one.) I still have the last one and it still works.

    Either mine quit working after you could exchange them *or* I had forgotten that I could exchange it. :( Glad you have one that still works! ;)

    I've heard that before, some guy said he did it before. He was one of the guys Who did the free modem program for sysops, too.

    Not sure if it was legit.
